Weight Reduction - What is sabotaging your diet plan

Article by Robert Taylor

Most people who desire to reduce their weight have a tendency to follow one diet plan after another. Typically they will have some level of success with whatever plan they are following for a while but then at some point they lose their way and invariably regain the same weight all over again. If you have ever found yourself asking why this keeps happening, the answer is your diet plans are sabotaged.

There are many sources for diet failures, and one of the highest among them is family. Your family and friends opinions about you, their mannerisms and their actions impact you in many ways. A negative vote of confidence from someone who you respect will quickly unravel your own confidence in your success. Just an in passing reminder of all the diets you failed, or a reference to how you must miss some type of food you gave up can plant the seed of failure in a diet plan.

Another source of dietary sabotage can be stress. Stress, or the methods you use to deal with it, can worry at you and destroy your resolve. Things that you can accomplish when your stress levels are low can be nearly impossible as you become more stressed out. Also, a lot of people use food as their crutch for dealing with stress. Because of this, if anything raises your stress level it also raises your chances of failing in your weight reduction attempts.

Another top contributor to dietary failure is a fear of success. Let me say that again…A fear of success is often the number one cause of dietary failure. The reason for this is simple. In your conscious mind, you know you want to reduce to a certain size and look a certain way…but in your unconscious mind you have reasons for why your weight stays the way it is. Often a person has weight issues due to lack of esteem or a deep internal need to protect themselves. When your subconscious mind has a firm reason for wanting to keep you at a certain size, any time you begin to notice your success at getting smaller your subconscious will cause a cri! sis or craving that throws you off balance and ultimately destroys your attempt.

Ultimately, no matter what the catalyst, your diet plans are sabotaged by a conflict between your conscious desire to reduce your weight and an unconscious need to keep it. The only way to resolve this problem is to resolve the conflict and get your inner mind and your waking mind on the same accord. There are many techniques to get your mind on one accord…meditation, prayer and self-hypnosis all allow you to reach a state where your subconscious and conscious mind can communicate. When you find the method or combination that works best for you, then you will find all of your weight reduction techniques work substantially better, and are more likely to have lasting results for years to come.

My Visit to the Float Lab ! :) trying the CID ! - 9 Sep 2010

Sensory deprivation or perceptual isolation is the deliberate reduction or removal of stimuli from one or more of the senses. Simple devices such as blindfolds or hoods and earmuffs can cut off sight and hearing respectively, while more complex devices can also cut off the sense of smell, touch, taste, thermoception (heat-sense), and 'gravity'. Sensory deprivation has been used in various alternative medicines and in psychological experiments. The CID (Cellular Influence Device™) is revolutionizing the process of intelligence transfer. This technology consists of a Float Lab chamber with an ultra high-tech visual display and a 3200-watt underwater stereo audio system. The CID, in combination with specifically designed programming, creates a potential of ones development beyond imaginable levels. This training device forces a user to direct all of his/her attention to any and all inputs provided [improving learning, retention and application rates]. www.floatlab.com
